Karen, that used to get to me too.
A quick hair cut???
Five minutes??
Said by someone who has never cut a head of hair.

I have to say though, that i really do not mind how people talk to me, or what they say, as long as they are polite I can accept anything.

People being PAID TO TALK.
Now that is different. I spend a lot of time shouting at them on the TV.... Yes. I do understand that they can't hear me.

"There you go" instead of "thank you (Sir/Madam) when serving a customer.

Mothers who tell their children to "talk proply".

Why do mothers talk about themselves as if they are somebody else? E.g."You get your library books and Mummy will get hers. Then we will go home."

I dread to think what the child must have made of this conversation because it confused me.

Agree with you Sharron about "There you go" instead of "thank you".....same as "Cheers"

I agree with Sharron about the Mummy thing, what if the child started saying Mary will go to the toilet about themselves? Mummy would have something to say about that?

When I was having my children OH`s dad said oh are you producing, made me sound like a production line, with no feelings. Hated it.

People who call their children kids, don't mums and dads have babies, boys and girls anymore, or are they bringing up herds of baby goats.

"Ms." gets me - I am not married so I am "Miss", but "Ms." does work as a useful indicator of junk mail in the post because I always refer to myself as "Miss" or just "Kate".
