"Ms." gets me - I am not married so I am "Miss", but "Ms." does work as a useful indicator of junk mail in the post because I always refer to myself as "Miss" or just "Kate". |

People who call their children kids, don't mums and dads have babies, boys and girls anymore, or are they bringing up herds of baby goats. |

When I was having my children OH`s dad said oh are you producing, made me sound like a production line, with no feelings. Hated it. |

I agree with Sharron about the Mummy thing, what if the child started saying Mary will go to the toilet about themselves? Mummy would have something to say about that? |

"Cheers"..............Why do people say that when they mean "Thank you." Cheers is what you say when you drink a toast. Are people afraid to say thanks these days? |

saying, for example ' at the end of the day, something needs to be done. For heavens sake, if something needs to be done, it needs to be done whether it is the end of the day, the middle of the day or the beginning of the day !! Also, and probably due to the fact that I am 'one of the older generation' the modern day speech which includes peeps for people (I always thought peeps indicated taking a discrete look at something), cool for 'up to date (always thought it referred to the temperature) and abbreviations to represent phrases IMHO for example. I realise this is probably used to cut down on the amount of typing when on the computer, but I still find it irritating. Oh what a moaning old soul I am !! |

My hubby still says "in the family way". Why can't he just say pregnant? Makes me cringe every time! |
