I`ll tell you a story about a pan. When we were first married OH was out of work . I left instructions for spag .bolognaise. When I came the vegs were frying in frying pan and mince cooking in a pot. He read the instructions and it said fry vegs , meaning brown them !!! |

I think Partner is used for older people as boy and girlfriend sounds daft when you are older and no longer a boy or girl. My o.h. is not my fiance or my husband. |

I use 'partner' because I'm not married to him, so I can't call him 'husband'. Though on here he's my OH lol Formally though, I have to use that term. |

I hate the word select instead of chose. I called my partner partner even though i hate the word but confessing all i can't always get my mouth around the word fiance and he's neither my husband nor husband to be and it sounds silly for me(over 25) to call him my boyfriend! |

I use the term partner simply because I would feel silly at my age 51 refering to him as boyfriend and he is not my husband. Has anyone a better term I can use please. |
