Alright all you 50 something (or older) ladies out there, which face cream/moisturiser do you us?

I'm thinking of trying the new Olay miracle cream, has anyone tried it yet?

Grabagran

Grabagran Report 8 Sep 2008 18:05

IT HAS BEEN TRIED AND TESTED BY THE PROFESSIONALS AND THERE IS NO MIRACLE CREAM.

WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR VITAMIN E CREAM, I GOT SOME, AND HAVE BEEN PUTTING IT ON MY FACE, AND IT'S GREAT.
ESPECIALLY IF YOU'VE GOT DRY SKIN.

AT 75P A GO, IT WON'T BREAK THE BANK EITHER

*sighs* I can't use it.... all of them either make my skin feel itchy, or I go all blotchy.

So.... no magical rejuvenation for me, I am afraid!

*sighs again*

ps... it is why I stay plump.... it pads out the wrinkles ;¬))

I try different ones, and have always cleansed and moisturised my skin, from a teenager - I always hated soap as it dried my skin. You don't have to spend a fortune - some of the Avon ones I've used have been lovely.

Hi Vods... yes, I have used it on my hands sometimes, if they get dry and rough, but it only works for a short while, and then it goes into reverse and I start itching and get little hive patches... so there is something in it that doesn't like me!!.......

but fortunately... and here is the best bit.... I am sensitive to a lot of the stuff that goes into household cleaning products.... so I try not to use them ,lololol So I tend not to get dry skin... and a little bit of olive oil works wonders!!

I use 'Siana' from Aldi - day & night creams £1.85 each. I'm very happy with them & read about them first on this site!

Always used E45 years ago Ann. Wonder if it will cure my wrinkles now though...lol...

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 8 Sep 2008 18:43

E45 burns me... used to burn my son, too.... Well, that is what it feels like... it used to contain lanolin, which I am very sensitive to.

Hayley......... you don't look a day over, either, honestly.

I have used Olay face creams since i was a teenager.Yes i am over 50.
I have tried and tested every new Olay that comes out
[ cost a fortune some of them ] but i can honestly say that none of them are any different what ever they say it suppose to do .

I stick with Olay as like it , just personnel choice but i have stopped buying the most expensive of the brand .

MrDaff Report 8 Sep 2008 18:51

Well in that case Hayley... what you putting that muck on yer face for when you clearly don't need it, lol!!
*sticks tongue out*

Vods.... it's the same as Aqueous, more or less.... it doesn't really cause a problem... I have slightly greasy skin, naturally, so never needed to use much... I can only wear make up of any sort for a short while... so don't often bother any more.

I use the tumble dryer balls rather than conditioner, most of the time... and I change my shower and hair products regularly, which reduces the problems.

I am just downright awkward, me, lolol
