Thanks all of you. I can't cry - I think I did that when I first heard Liz had cancer and limited time, but I am sure it will be hard to stop the tears at the funeral.

Jac, I think it was a peaceful passing, thanks. I am glad Liz is free from the pain now, but it is unfair she had to suffer at all. Let's hope this awful disease is soon able to be cured, or stopped in it's tracks as some newspaper reported today further breakthroughs in research.

Many thanks, for these posts and for all the pms. I can't wish her back but just wish she had let me know sooner so I could have been there more for her. When I asked her why she hadn't rung to tell me, she said ' I couldn't just ring and say I'm dying'
I told her she could have said 'Hello, how are you? I am not so good, I am dying' She laughed but altho I would have been shocked I would have gone to her, done anything to help her through this awful time. No one should have to suffer like she did, but at least I was able be with her sometimes to give her a gentle cuddle as she wept with the pain, even tho it broke my heart to feel how thin she was and hear her crying. And when we chatted, I saw flashes of the old Liz and brought back happy memories to her which made her laugh.
I do have lots of photographs and many many memories.
