FIL born in Robins Bottom nr Iping Sussex. Of recent years they have 'lost the Bottom!!!!!!

When OH had to go through extra security check whilst in RAF - fathers birthplace got him threatened with a 'charge'. RAF even rang his father who told them to get an ordnance survey map!!! They did not apologise

Just outside Stafford, there is a village called SALT.

and if i remember right, when my sister lived in WOOL (Dorset) years ago....there was a nother village called..SHITTINGTON...but pronounced sittington..
