Hiya - apparently it's to do with the pulse spots on the wrists which can control body heat - try it - you never know, it might work.

Night Night!!!

big kisses to the girls - dont wake them up!!!

Jac,

I am game to try anything, but how will cool wrists help me if the sweat is running down my neck and legs...YUUK!!!...too much information...lol...

You should come for a visit and see for yourself.

I am off to do the rounds downstairs to find the coolest room...nite nite...

Hi - I didnt mean immerse your whole body in the water, just let the cold tap run over the inside of both wrists for about 5 mins. I think you'll find that it cools you down a bit. Mind you, the cold water could be stored in a tank and that might be quite warm if it's exposed to the sun.

Sorry love - I'll just send you cooling thoughts and vibes.

Take care.

Hiya Jac,

My dear friend, not even the pool is of any use tonight as the water is tepid...

Have had a couple of cold showers, which most likely will continue through the night..

Me thinks that I have to see my GP for her to up my HRT before I commit a murder or something...Can't stand to see OH snoring his head off and sleeping like a log...

Yeah! I know...envy won't get me anywhere.....lol..

My babies are fast asleep in their beds in the kitchen with all windows open and fly screens closed...

Hiya Lindy!!! I have just put a cardigan on I'm so cold. I might even put the electric blanket on later - lol

Have you tried running cold water over the inside of your wrists? It's supposed to cool the body.

Hope you get some sleep love - I suppose the girls sleep through it all?

Lol...

Hiya Deb,

Our house is much cooler inside then it is outside, double brick with insulation and double glazing...

An old African trick that I learned from my Mum is to close all windows, shutters and curtains during the day to keep the sun out and then open them at night..but when that hot wind blows from North Africa it is even worse...

The Portuguese have a name for it but unfortunately I do not know how to translate...

Another hot sleepless night!

Lindy ;)

P.S. How can you even wear clothes in this heat?

Deb Vancouver (18665) Report 30 Jun 2008 22:02

Ditto Lindy!

It started to heat up a few hours ago. I have closed all the windown and blinds and have the fans going.

Normaly I would be outside lolling, but I'm not too good right now and quite happy here in the house.

I have just looked at the thermometer outside of the kitchen window, it is 29c in the shade, It's 2pm so I expect it will get hotter.

Is your hottest time around 5pm like here?

Deb

PS I have some PJ bottoms on now :)

Here we are again, same place, same problem...

Why is it that we don't melt enough fat to get thin?

The amount of water that I drink...one would think that I would be as thin as a pencil...no way more like a beached whale...

Lindy ;))))))))))

I know how you feel!

I had better get myself downstairs and get the washing machine going and half heartedly do some house work.

Enjoy your day!

Hiya Jac,

Diana fell in the pool yesterday while trying to snap at my ball, it was not too stressful as she fell on the steps in the shallow end and as OH was already in the pool he fished her out.

Rooney, on the other hand is a little devil, he loves to hop onto the body board and float around. When he has had enough, he waits until the body board floats close to the edge and leaps off, sometimes missing and falling in.

I shall send the sun your way!

Hope Jackson is well?

Morning Ann...lol...

It is already 28 degrees and climbing.

My "birthday suit" days are over!

My eldest son Daniel is moving back home some time this week.

He has his degree and wants to pay off his bank loan as soon as possible and decide what he wants to do with his future.

All I need now is for David to decide it is cheaper to move back home as well...I thought we were supposed to get rid of them when they got older. ;)
