That pudding was nice though. I enjoyed it. Only for a £5

Actually I thought that the size of the glass the dessert was in would have been put to better use if it had been filled with wine - but maybe that is just me showing my weakness, lol.
At least we could have all had a straw!

Oh you should have said you couldn't cope with it all Ben, I am sure we could have helped you out lol

I have to be honest and say I have eaten pretty much all of a similar dessert some years back, as I am a chocoholic, and can't you tell now, the size of me lol

Heather, we should have all grabbed a spoon and dug in lol

I think one of the flakes or profiteroles could have been thrown in my direction Ben :)

Oh don't tell us that Benjamin, we were all so impressed (actually jealous) at the way you put it away. It did look good!

Hi everyone,

First chance I have had to come on the boards, as the family had descended when I returned yesterday pm and I haven't had a minute to myself since.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone yesterday and really appreciated the fact that several people had made such an effort to get there and had travelled such a distance - Thank you, all of you.

Sorry there was a mix up after I left, but glad it seems to have been sorted out now.

Hope it's not too long before we can meet up again soon.

The Chocolate Sundae was actually supposedly a group one to share (not our group, just a group)- lol - but the lad managed to eat the lot, good on him.

Glad everyone is ok then. James seemed as mystified as us tho, which is why I was worried I had upset someone. Might have been better if he had hung on to explain as he had time to kill and our things were still at the table.

Lyndi, it was good to meet you at last and Heather too. Not a bit the way I had pictured you.

No worries, glad people enjoyed the afternoon. We certainly didn't stop talking, I only managed to drink one spritzer altho it was sooooo hard to resist ordering the dessert Ben had, it looked wicked, naughty but nice Chocolate Sundae. I was very good tho and resisted.

Heather, fancy making Nell run after her fishcake lunch, no that doesn't sound the way I mean it lol

Ben, I was the one hurrying you off so you didn't keep your Chauf - err your Mum - waiting after a hard afternoon's shopping lol Hope she enjoyed her trip to Chapelfield Mall and the city.

Hope next time we can get Anne to the city and others too who couldn't make it this time.

Hayley, what, you think no win, no fee? give it back!

Sorry, no spaceships just two middle aged ladies trying to run across the traffic to catch their train. Truth be known, I told Nell who is carrying less weight to run ahead and hold the train for me.

I thought everyone was lovely and we all had a good laugh, I was upset that you thought we just left without a word and without leaving someone to guard your belongings.

Lyndi

Lyndi Report 22 Jun 2008 12:44

Can I just say that this all seems to be a big misunderstanding.
Everyone was lovely and we had many laughs and lots of chat during the afternoon.
People started to leave and Liz and I disappeared to the loo (as you know us ladies always have to go in two's!!)
When we got back we found the table empty, apart from my bag (which I must add was shopping and not a handbag) and Liz's jacket.
We thought it a bit odd, but we had all lost track of time (now we know why Heather had a pressie of a clock - we should have used it lol).
Everyone I met was lovely and I am convinced that this was nothing more than people having a good time and losing track of time, and Liz and me going off to the loo at the precise moment the others realised they were in danger of missing their train.

Hi

I enjoyed the meet up and would loved to have stayed longer but I had to go and meet my mum after she finished shopping. Perhaps we could all meet up again sometime. I dont think Heather and Nell meant to be rude, they had to quickly catch their train.

Hi Liz, Heather here - Nell and I had to catch a 5.30 p.m. train and we suddenly noticed it was 5.20 p.m. We did say goodbye to everyone left there and certainly James got a hug from us before we ran and we asked him to say goodbye for us and he was still waiting at the table - .Obviously we wouldnt have left your bag on a table like that. Our understanding was he was going to wait in the hotel til his train was due an hour later.

Im gobsmacked you thought we were rude.
