Well today's meet in Norwich started off ok, several people made the journey, and new faces appeared, some new to me, some new to everyone. I christened my bus pass to get to the venue.

Frances was there to welcome folk. Benjamin, Little Nell and Katarzyna were already there when I arrived, and I had found Lyndi waiting outside as altho Frances had told the staff we were meeting, the ones we had spoken to were unaware of the meet. James came all the way from London, risking our dodgy train service,and he brought along the picture of McAnne, minus cast, as she couldn't get to us in person. Heather turned up a little later and the conversation flowed. Soon after 5pm Ben had to leave to meet his Mum aka chauffeur, and Frances too had to go. Shortly after Lyndi and I said we were off to find the loo but surprise, surprise when we got back, there was no one to be seen. My jacket and her bag were still at the table but the others had gone! We were dumbstruck, it was as if aliens had whisked them all away.
I walked with Lyndi to the station and we saw James there, who was also a little surprised. He said the others had mentioned going to the loo and leaving but I don't think they said goodbye, and were nowhere to be seen. Lyndi went off to get her train home, I chatted with James for a bit as he had an hour to kill before his train, and then I too had to leave to meet my partner from work for a ride home.
A rather downbeat end to a pleasant afternoon.

Thanks folks, it was so bizarre.

Will do my best Annie, but if not, will do a minimeet when I get to visit my son's rellies in Brentwood, which should be sometime this year.

It is also unusual not to see feedback on a meet! Hope everyone got home safely, I think James had the furthest to travel.

Hi Hayley, I saw that and was surprised no one had responded.

You could be on the right track with the spaceship theory, didn't see anything on the news tho lol

I phoned McAnne while we were all together and we shouted hello at her, lol, we had her photograph on the chair besides us. Also phoned Malc and left a message to say good luck and we raised a glass at 4.05pm to the happy couple.

Well how odd!

I went to my first meet last weekend & it was pretty much a race to see who could get back & post the quickest.

Well after a few post, I got called away to an emergency (999 to take Dad to hospital) but the rest chatted again for hours

liz i can assure you rose dont parp..........tis more like a volcano errupting..........or ......or the start of an earthquake........being on the other end of the phone when she let rip i can assure you .......my chair shook....and i live about 120 miles away....[hands liz my newest invention ,a super peg that i got for a quid from the pound shop.]its supposed to clamp freezer bags tight,and works wonders when in the presence of our rose.lol.xx
