Oh guys, some of you know Im involved with a dog rescue and I was talking to people a month or so back about not wanting to take my disabled dog for grooming as I dont want him to be under any stress BUT he has such a thick undercoat I had to get his hair thinned. Id tried just about every brush and gadget on the market but they didnt seem to help. A girl told me about the Furminator - I didnt think it would be much cop but I was well impressed by the videos on their site and I bought the medium size one from a firm on the net called Simpsons of Langley.

Oh honest guys, its a god send. I used it on my disabled boy and he usually hates being brushed or groomed but he actually seems to like this. I got many handfuls of hair out and now I do both dogs every day, just a few whips through and more handfuls come out.

Do get one, its so worth the money. Mine was the medium size for about £31 inc postage -(which is the cost of one grooming for one of my dogs) I think the small size is really only for tiny dogs and cats.

I have Lhasa Apsos and they don't moult, but everyday at the moment when I brush them I am getting more hair in the brush than normal, so maybe it is just this year.

Someone asked about moulting cats on a much earlier thread. My reply was to say she should save up all the fur and have it made into a nice, thick cardi or something. This was after a news item about a couple who did this with their cat, or dog fur, not too sure now.lol

I have short haired dog and he has been rolling around the floor like mad .I gave him a brush the other day and could not believe the amount of hair that came out.Do it every day now and it is horrendous. It must make them very uncomfortable and itchy.
