Really strong smell of burning....................

Member Since: May 2006 Posts: 3,373 Send Message	I was woken at about 2.30 by a really strong smell of burning. I always sleep with the window open, but thought to check the house first !!! Went outside back and front to make sure no one near me on fire..........nothing but still strong smell of burning. So, being a responsible person I phoned the fire brigade. No problem Madame we'll send a unit to do a walk round and make sure there is no-one in your location on fire. Now heres the good bit...........a few minutes later a fire engine arrived and a VERY young.....VERY good-looking young fireman came walking towards me !!!! " Are you the lady who rang" " Yes "( in girlie whisper ) " Right well, thank you for calling and yes there is a very strong smell of burning ! " The result was that a farm about 5 miles away is having a ' burn ' and the smell is travelling. I felt a total twit and muttered loads of " sorry,sorry " Came back in and couldn't get back to sleep cos kept thinking how young this nice fireman looked !!! Def. feeling my age but so glad I put my teeth in before he got here pmsl. Lin x

	lol Lin................................ ............I was out saturday night at a party, there were loads of off-duty firemen there........... very nice.............!!!
