	These are ones my FiL always used...... almonds for socks...........almond rocks? boat for face..........boat race barnet for hair barnet fair minces for eyes mince pies and others I know... daisies for boots daisy roots frog for road frog and toad ?? from what I remember reading, it came about from the costers in the East End who didn't want others to know what they were saying, so they would only use the one word, and not two......they would say apples for stairs......not apples and pears....

Old Pot and Pan - Old Man I suppose - nose Mince Pies - Eyes. Rubber Bands- Hands North and South - Mouth. Woolwich Piers - Ears Barnet Fair - Hair. Scotch Pegs - Legs Plates of Meat - Feet Generally these were just said by the first word ie Elephants , meaning drunk. Was told this was a code, so that people did not know what they were talking about.
