We have an extemely high population of elderly people 'round here who are quite convinced anyone under 50 was dragged up so I get great pleasure saying "Good Morning/Afternoon",holding doors open,standing to one side on the pavement & giving them my bestest smile-----it's a challenge.lol

My son does the same.It doesn't cost anything to be polite.I think a lot feel we owe them for "the war" or "you will respect your elders"syndrome sets in.I could do ignorant back but whats the point?I was "brought up properly" & I stay true to those values!

I used to compete with my horses Doc......and was successful in a very minor way.......but it left me feeling very lucky to have had the opportunity to do something which I never thought possible......

......all in the past now, and I just wrestly with my books and cross-stitch......lol...... x

that's better Joy,, I'm sure it's the same in many places with work, if you don't fit in with the family you don't last long, what happened I proved that the nephew of the boss was wrong in a safety issue, and that is how i lost the job, but also where I am work places are closing all the time, it is hard to get a long term safe job.

I like challenges..with challenges come achievements..It is how you reach your goals and feel like you have accomplished something..
I think as a human race we face them on a daily basis whatever they are..but they involved limitations.
I would not go bungy jumping..or jumping out of a plane(with parachute of course)..However I would go Abseiling(because Ive done this and loved it)..With challenges comes safety zones..and your personal limitations..By challenging yourself I feel you learn about yourself..

very good Lilly, what I said was almost as good as that, yes to learn about yourself and how much you can absord, me, am a big sponge.

Mind you with challenges can come disappointments..manifested in failures..but I believe you have to have an equilebriam..or happy medium (not the pscychic variety!..lol..lets not go there)..To appreciate that challenges are not always easy..You could say challenges are all about "winning"..and "losing"..and appreciation of the good and bad..
