Kay???? Report 18 May 2008 22:13

I do find myself thinking...and look for news.

I wonder how ??got today be they a patient to hospital,or other,

I wonder if ?managed to get through these past days,

I wonder if ?has been able to resolve.?

I wonder where ??not seen for a few days,..

even though I wouldnt know them from eve or adam,

it gives a wonderful insight to lifes daily problems that are thrown peoples way,,

then there is the barrel of laughs that come via threads,,that have me in stitches,,,,,

so yes I would miss that but as a whole Im not soley reliant on GR.or would never be so addicted that I would have to be here 24/7........

I don`t add very often even though I have been a member for a few years.

Guess I am one of the quiet ones who sits back and reads the boards which I really enjoy as I tend to lack confidence in conversation.

I have learn`t a few tips along the way which have been of great help.
I have had masses of help off others on lookups for my familytree, had no complaints off anyone for the constant requests I have made.

Even though I don`t know any of you personally. I love to read what everyone is doing.

I do find these boards a life line in one way as I read what you all do, yet it is easier for me as I know I can either Join in or stay quiet.

There are a lot of people who are kind hearted on here, yet there are a lot of people who are hurting who I wish I could put my arms around and give them a cuddle.

Thats me finished
Take care.

Its helped me through some tough times in my life but I find I spend less and less time on here now and therefore my answer is no, but the friends I've made on here are important to me!

gobsmacked - I'm sure it was less than 3,000 this morning!!! and now it's on it's way to 4,000 - I bet there isn't another chat room anywhere in cyberspace with a more helpful thread than that one - such a good thing Carole Tinkerbell thought to start it

many years ago i thought GR was important in my life altho obviously not as important as "real" life
however i found that after a while it wasnt of interest to me either for family tree reasons or to chat
i have come back as a paid member mainly to do my tree again but i cant get into it and altho i do look on the boards i dont find much of interest to be honest and my "real" life is whats important anyway rather than a cyber world
however i do use another website far more than here (nothing to do with geneology) and i enjoy that site a lot and have friends there both ones iv met and cyber ones
i guess its down to the mix of people that suits some and not others :-)

I very much enjoy chatting on here - have made some good friends, have a laugh, a good place for advice of all sorts and I am particularly pleased with the depression/anxiety thread which for a lot of people is a lifeline and a great support, so much so that people who initially were asking for help and support are now able to give it - in my book that is success!! I note that there are now nearly 3,000 postings on that thread
