I am not talking about spiders or the dark, I am talking strange here.

I cannot bear mayonnaise, if OH has it his plate has to be at least five feet away from mine and has to be washed up separately.

I can't go anywhere near an open loft hatch let alone walk under one.

Lastly I am terrified of ducting, you know the sort that runs across the ceilings in most buildings, If it is covered by a ceiling fine, if it is exposed I panic!

I don't but I watched a prog a year or so back where a man had a phobia of confessing to a crime he hadn't committed.
Poor soul was unable to go near paper or writing implements for fear he'd write out a confession and give it to the police.

Then there was the lady scared of random glitter.

To be honest I did find it quite funny - but they really did suffer.

Mine used to be caves, undergrounds, or long tunnels.......but in my 30's with OH's help I went into some caves........the hair still stands on the back of my neck thinking about it........but no problems since.......I told myself I was too old to worry about these fears........but it is not as easy for others......

....mind you, I could never go potholing, and those who go underwater, under rock shelves, underground.....they are absolutely bonkers.....

I had a friend who had a button phobia.....she had zips and lace ties for all of her clothes.....

My Son can't abide cotton wool.

Clowns & Masks-collecting my son from parties as a kid was a nightmare when the entertainer was.."Mr Magic the Clown"-shudder just thinking brrrrr.

I've 2 or 3 really serious ones!

Am petrified of mountains, can't be nearer than about 10 miles, or high buildings - New York would be a nightmare to me. I instantly feel they're going to fall on me. I find them so depressing its terrifying.

Being on water, or going over those slatted bridges. Went on one of those glass-bottomed boats once, I screamed blue murder (just couldn't help it!) until it turned back to land.

And can't stand me, or anybody in my hearing touching that polystyrene packaging.

Cotton wool and balloons are popular then. I must say I am not keen on balloons either.

People may stifle a laugh but when you are having a panic attack and explain why but unless they have a phobia they can't understand.

The amount of times we have been caught out in the surgery with the cotton wool phobia. We're merrily stuffing cotton wool rolls into someones mouth, and they start crying or struggling for air.
