What a weekend, eh! Phew! A roller coaster of threads, swooping and soaring, racing and chasing each other across cyber space in a riotous display of ectoplasmic……ok, that enough of that. Let’s get back to reality.

The weekend started off on Friday night (strangely enough) with a good old fashioned row. Well, it wasn’t really a row, but it was the nearest thing we had so it will just have to do in the absence of anything better. But to put the record straight, I can now confirm that I have actually found a case where a psychic detective solved a crime. No, I’m only joking; I haven’t, cos there isn’t one. Fooled you there for a second, eh!

What a joyful thread that was about feminine hygiene products. I’m none the wiser, but better informed I suppose. Thank you soooooo much for the graphic interchanges. No need for mind reading there!

The fashion for posting threads consisting of song lyrics is most commendable. I presume it is being done to practice typing skills and other keyboard techniques. I tried to do Delaney’s Donkey but my finger ends melted and all my spoons started bending.

I have to point, in all modesty of course, to the thought provoking threads on Viagra and UFO sightings, both of which were met with critical acclaim and lots of useful information. It’s just a bit of a shame that Empress Baby Jane can’t be a bit more helpful, but never mind. I suppose when you drink wine and cider by the vat all day it makes being nice a little difficult. Stick to spirits is my advice.

Looking at the other boards, it really is a joy to see some of the queries. I personally award Reggie the Eldrick Medal of Diplomacy for his tact and patience. He is clearly related to Mother Teresa, I saw it in a vision yesterday after 27 cans of Ace lager. Or was it Teresa’s mother? Does the name Fred mean anything…..? Anyway, get that India connection checked, Reg! And send for her will……. you never know! Oh - and how DARE you point out that a query regarding a booking for Ryanair is not a genealogy question. It’s the naughty step for you my good man and no, you can’t put the light on or take your toy octopus with you.

What else is there….look up…look up…1881 census look up….medals look up…BMD look up…can’t find….hmmm. I wonder if Ancestry will give me a refund when I point out that I can get everything I want on here for next to nowt. And people tell me all sorts of things that only I could possible know.

I know I’ve missed out some fantastically banal threads, but amongst such a plethora of tediousness, it would be soooo unfair to mention one and not another, so I just try to strike a happy medium.

If you think that you have spotted a deserving cause that has escaped mention, please PM me by all means. It’s nice to get PM’s. I still haven’t had a nasty one yet, so I’m beginning to think that they don’t exist. I mean, I need some scientific evidence. It’s not asking too much, is it….? A photograph will do…..but I will keep an open mind :-)
