This is a good one , I have been working on the step family of my mothers line , traced their G.Grandfather back to London 1890,s ..but their G, Grandmother died in 1891 ,. Have received the death cert and she died in Colny Hatch Asylum ..cause of death (if it is read literally is Syphallis ..) it doesn,t even give Husbands name , just occupation, yet she had a child in 1890 who did not have the desease ..
I just can,t bring myself to give them this information ..

Yes I was sent a photo of my father's eldest sister {by a cousin who is 18years older than me} with a younger girl with her !! i asked who this girl was and it turned out to be one of my fathers younger sisters who we didnt know existed !! but by searching i found her birth but couldnt find any trace of her any where, so got on to local authorty...spelling?? where she was born and eventualy found she was in a mental hospital for 40 odd years because she was backward in years so was taken away from granny and was shut away and died alone in 1980 she out lived granny by 20 years, none of the family ever mentioned her !! how sad is that ?? I expect that they were too ashamed, but After more searching i did find where she was buried and when? and laid poor aunty Hannah to rest....Jean.
