Hi Tina
Thank you. She's now out of surgery. I have to go & collect her at 5 so I hope she's still ok then.

The shop are now trying to back track on what they said yesterday about paying her vet bills. trading standards have advised me though that they are reaponsible.

Its not really the money that I'm concerned about. its the principal. They should be more carefull with the animals they sell.

I'll let you know later how she is. x

Hi Tina

Sorry its taken me so long to let you know how she is. We got home at 6.30 & got her out of her box & into her bed in the dinning room which was quite a task!

She's had some medication & she's had some lettuce. She's trying to hop about which is a good thing but its heartbreaking to see.

I've caught her a couple of times licking at her wound. I really don't want her to have to have a "light shade" on her head so I hope she doesn't investigate it too much.

She looks a lot brighter than she did yesterday which just goes to show how much pain she must have been in.

Thank you for caring Tina & your support.

Thank you Catherine.

The RSPCA & myself are very concerned that the same thing has happened to all of her litter mates with the wrong size rings. I had hoped the Brittish Rabbit Council would ask me for the details from the ring so they could trace the owners of her litter mates & tell the breeder to be more carefull but they weren't interested at all. I just hope if it wasn't a one off mistake that the RSPCA can trace the rest of these bunnies before its too late.

Awww thank goodness.

My bunnies would kill for dandelions (I grow them in abundance in the garden) and Curly Kale, does she like them too?

I hope she has a good night, and you too.... will check in tomorrow :o))

Hi Chrisa

Hope Bonnie feeling better today, love her name!

Our pup Cassius, play fighting with his sister Tiger got scratched, turned into infection. He's gonna be a big dog so has massive 'lampshade' thing around his neck to stop him scratching it. So funny, when he zooms in, he kinda zooms out as it gets caught! Know when he's coming because you hear sound of 'twang!' first, then he follows! Have to open door wide to help him, bless!

Let us know how Bonnie's doing. x

Hi Shani

Dogs are funny when they have the lamp shades on aren't they.

Bonnie is a lot better today. She's taking all her medication without too much fuss & she's definitiely got her appetite back. She's doing brilliantly getting around too.

She's such a little sweety.x

oh thanks for looking at it-
she does a great job-we sponsor 2 of them and I get carrots from school that are left for them and do fundraising-so she gets by-luckily she gets alot of support from the RSPCA and the kindness of strangers. Infact some peeps of GR donated to her as well-she was over the moon and put on the site-thanks to the kind people of GR
Glad Bonny is doing well

Hi all

Just thought I'd give everyone an update on Bonnie.
She's not doing too well, not bad in herself still eating etc but her wound will not heal. She's being seen daily by the vet to have her wound cleaned out as she develpoed an abscess. Booked in for more surgery on Thursday to try to clear out the abscess.

The pet shop concerned have agreed to pay all vet fees as a gesture of goodwill. They refuse to be held fuuly liable as in their words "because the leg has been removed we are unable to assess if the ring was soley responsible for the swelling".

Fingers crossed the surgery on Thursday will be a success.
