Brilliant news Caz. Instead of wearing a hat you could have some sort of flower in your hair. Hats and I don't get on. where will you go to buy your posh frock?

you have remembered we are up there next week haven't you?

Caz, I know how proud you must be feeling, my hubby was presented to Prince Charles at a Garden party at Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland during his last year of 23 years service. If you are worried about having to wear a hat, why not go for a fascinator. You can get them either on a comb, a hair band or on a grip-like slide. BHS, House of Frasier, Debenhams and Accessorise all stock them and the ones at BHS this year are really nice.

Hope you have a lovely day and don't forget the piccies, Make sure you get one of you and hubby together.

Well done G

What an Honour for G... and for you too.. it is so difficult being a w/o, so make the very most of your proud day... you have both earned this honour!

I am not a person who can dream up elegant concoctions... but I 'know' what it looks like as soon as I see it, so I am no help there, for you..

Have a brilliant time.

Love

Jean (Monmouth) Report 29 Apr 2008 19:46

We spent a fortnight in camp away from the hospitals when the QA were on the Florence Nightingale centenary parade in 1954. We practised marching etc until we were dropping, but we were also inspected by Princess Margaret who was our commander in Chief. She stood in front of me and came up to about my shoulder, a tiny little woman , but it was one of the proudest days of my life, will never forget it. Jean
