Looking through the Slave directories they have names like cabbage cabbage and onion onion .

I have a Titus as well! He was officially Edmund Titus but was known as Titus all his life apparently.

Urban - male name from Northants.

Then just the usual Mary, Thomas etc.

Oddest one was my great aunt who was Eflina

I think she was unique and I've no idea where the family found that name.
