Dont do it

My hairdresser told me yesterday that 2 of her clients have ruined their hair on this programme.

One persons hair is brittle & in awful condition and the other has a small bald patch at the back of her head now. Both caused by malnutrition after losing so much weight so fast.

Apparently my hairdresser said there is a notice up at her doctors surgery asking patients not to ask their doctors for permission to start this diet. as in all cases they will refuse.

Hi Ginny, I know someone who lost 5st on it. Must say it's not for me although I have been struggling with my weight all my life. I believe in eating healthy. I am back at WW since the Januery and have lost 1 1/2 stone. Still have 3 1/2 to go.

There is no quick fix........It took me 9 years to put on 5 stone so I can't expect to loose it in 3 months

Good Luck Heather

Most of you know that i have spent my whole life obese..... at 16 i weighed 20 stone and was diagnosed as a food addict when i was 25. In 2004 i needed to shed at least 14 stone and had by that time tried every diet and slimming pill on the market and many that werent, if you get my drift.
On advice and encouragement from a friend i joined Weight Watchers in April 04 and by Christmas 06 had shed 11 stone, i still needed to lose weight and foolishly, still not cured of my food addiction i fell off the wagon and put nearly 2 stone back on. I have now lost those 2 stone and a further 1 and am well on my way to a decent size . .
Most of us never cure ourselves of the craving for certain foods but we can re programme our minds to manage those cravings, i know for me the way to do it would not to have deprived myself of food for 12 hours let alone 12 weeks!!!

Dizzy that is wonderful you are an inspiration to us all , when i saw this ad it was with the slimming page in the daily mirror so i thought endorsed by the paper , it cant be that bad (if you get my drift) but the price and the 4 litres of water no not for me ,will go to ww Thanks Dizzy

Chris, take each day at a time sweetheart and work on the theory that if you have 2 bad days each week it actually means you have had 5 good ones!!! Good luck and remember if you eat it today you can walk it off tomorrow xxxx

My friend has successfully lost around 4 stone in a year on this diet, she looks fantastic, but she has barely eaten anything in a year!
I feel she is now obsessed with losing weight; she has been told she must start to eat solids again now, but I wonder how/if her body can cope with normal food now?

Thanks Hayley I think she may struggle with that then. She tried lipobind but the counsellor kept telling her she wasn't losing enough weight!

I'm fine thanks Dizzy, hope you are ok? I wonder if she will be too scared to ever eat properly again in case she puts it all back on!

:0)

I think its the same as Lipotrim..... my best bud has shed at least 5 stone on that one...... she lives off of shakes basically but does eat at restaurants on special occasions now!!

She has a completely different attitude to food now and sees it as the enemy rather than her comfort blanket!!

I am so proud of her its untrue, but I do worry its an obsession now rather than a healthy thing!

xx

Yes she will be scared and will keep putting it off..like I did.....day 1) 2 shakes for breaky and lunch and a saucer of food...bit of lettice and salad stuff and about 2 oz of cook turkey..

day 2) same as but with an apple

day 3) 1 shake 2 small meals
day 4 ) same as introduce small amount of carbs...

and so on...
