Rose

If I go to St Marys at Harmondsworth to do any research, I'll have to pop in for a cup of tea

Karen

You're showing off. Seriously though, it is traumatic moving, even as a child I hated it, having to get used to new schools & make new friends x

I'm pleased I only moved my kids once, I didn't want them to deal with what I had to.
I love where we live but I can't see us staying here in our old age, who knows x

Only pulling your leg Karen. I have to say that I was quite happy to move every year or two when we first got married, I think I even expected it! Now I like to stay put for a while, 13 years the last house and 7 this one so far x

Sue in Somerset Report 17 Apr 2008 00:34

Been in Somerset for some 25 years but lived in quite a lot of places as a child

Portsmouth, Titchfield and Stubbington in Hampshire, Malta then Portsmouth again.
Moscow (Russia was home for a little while though I was sent to boarding school during term times) then Lyme Regis in Dorset.

Me too.

I miss the sea.

We aren't that far from it really but I'd like to be able to hear and smell it!

Hi All

These lists put me in mind of a (barely remembered) song which was just a load of place names. Seem to remember hearing it on the Royal Variety Show or Sunday Night at the Palladium or some such, years ago. It got faster and faster towards the end, I think.

Mean anything to anyone?
