My Dads garden gets a female sparrowhawk a lot mau, boy do the little birds scarper when she appears!!

Ian....We could not get much further apart in the same country could we... :O)

Will remember to bring the binoculars when l get to your neck of the woods there seems to be so much to see.
Sorry did not get back sooner just popped to a friends for a few minutes at 2.00 got back home at midnight.. wasnt drinking officer honest.

I very nearly had a sparrowhawk crash into the back of my head last summer.
I was in the gap behind my greenhouse when I heard a screech and a blackbird shot over head into the neighbours garden..........hot on its heels was a young Sparrowhawk........it missed me by inches.

A year or so before that a youngster knocked itself out crashing into our living room window..........OH picked it up and put it on the window sill..........it flew off a moment or so later.

They are beautiful birds.
