ahhh must be my overgrown Garden......not that it is now though......have lots of trees and bushes.

I do so hate the noise of the doves in the summer though......much prefer the little birds.

next question....How do I shoot doves and get away with it :-))))))))

Susan who has just woken up because the rain is noisy

I had a blackbird outside today who wouldn't give up and go under cover, he was out in the teeming rain and wind, picking up bits that had fallen off the bird table, the doves and starlings knock bits down and then the blackbird and his missus come and get them. I put him some seeds out too.
O.h. thinks we have two lots of blue tits as they keep flying round and in and out of the bird box, three at time the other day. I suggested they wre maybe thinking of a threesome or they were immigrant ones who want to house share lol
(Am I allowed to say that?)
One year he spent hours filming on his camera, the blue tits going in and out the box, thought they were building a nest or even feeding babies, then he went to look later after seeing no acitivity for several hours and found the inside of the box as clean as the day it went up lol
He was so disappointed, I am afraid I laughed.

I was out today and heard this flapping sound in tree above me so being phobic about birds flying near me I screamed and ran for the car! OH was following behind rapidly lol so a man nearby asked me if everything was ok whilst eyeing up OH suspiciously!
Turns out it wasn't a bird but a carrier bag caught in the tree pmsl poor chap!!

I once knocked out a budgie that lived next door cos I went in room and it flapped near me and I put out my arm to protect myself from the mighty nasty monster of a bird an it fell to the floor with it's legs in the air - I thought I had killed it!

It lived - honest!

Lol it was first time for ages me an oh out shopping without our three laddos in tow - was supposed to be a relaxing day out lolol

And talk about romantic - we leave the bed shop and he says is time for lunch so I have ideas about a nice cafe or bistro and he says oooh I wonder if that burger king has a drive thru??

Mine is a bit like that, says he will buy me coffee or a meal then when we are nearly finished the shopping or whatever, he says, well it is getting on now and I am tired, we might as well go home and have something there! Sometimes I even end up cooking, he did that on holiday in Wales and I only got about two meals out, oh and fish and chips one night but I had to drive to pick them up! Cheapskate! He wouldn't know romance if it came and bit him on the unowot!

Yes you can be a purple tulip, like the ones I got on Mother's Day from my lad, they were lovely.

Kaz, I love tulips too, altho at the mo hyacinths flowering outside are tops, shame the rain is bashing them so but I have about twenty white, pink and blue ones in pots and I have moved them all by the back door so when it isn't chucking it down, I go outside and smell them, wonderful There are lots of tulips coming up but a lot rotted away last year in the tubs.

We stopped at a motorway service station on the way to Wales last year, I so needed a coffee and he had driven from Norwich with barely a stop so I wanted him to have a coffee too, and he got in a strop about me not letting this woman go ahead of me in the queue - why?' and walked out as I was ordering. As I didn't have any money on me, I had to leave too and he wouldn't go back in, said we would be wasting too much time - his fault we were late starting out by two hours as usual!
Ended up drinking a carton of juice from the car and a bag of crisps!
They sound like two of a kind lol
