I used to love the old scripture lessons at school, all the stories, and i had a wonderful childrens bible, full of beautiful pictures.

today, R.E. lessons are so different, but, isnt everything !!!!

Just been to the most wonderful Good Friday Communion Service at Above Bar Church, Southampton.

A Wonderful message for everyone, and so many people there.

Did my heart good to see them all.

Last Eastertime my then 5 year old great grand-daughter was told by her friend at school that Jesus came down at Easter and that we were all part of His big family, after I'd confirmed that this was true she thought about it for a few seconds then asked "Gran, you know when Jesus came down at Easter, did he land on his feet" Of course I said yes. "Well then, have you got a photo of Him, I mean a coloured one, not black and white" I bought her a children's bible which her Mum reads to her. Children went to Sunday school when I was a kid, even if their parents didn't go to church, lots of changes now not all for the good, Thought the above might raise a smile.

Tina, we have fish every Friday no matter what, my maternal grandmothers were both Roman Catholics so it was always fish on Friday and it has just followed on with me, don't know about my sisters though. OH and I are disappointed with the programme "The Passion" doesn't seem to follow the bible account in the correct order, would rather have the old films, but then we're old and don't like change.

In my ramblings forgot to say Happy Easter and God Bless everyone.
