Errol - my tips for what they are worth - if you are really suffering in the lung area is to get a heated wheat bag (on top of meds) and place it below shoulder blade on the lung you are suffering from.

Also a rolled up towel to chest when you cough help the pain.

Take it easy and take it serious - this is really serious illness and although 'fixed' my right lung is still scared three years on and I have never totally restored my energy levels xxxx

So sorry to hear this Errol - do as medics say.

Not trying to alarm you but it is serious - I have never smoked or been really 'unwell' before.

Having felt under the weather for a few days thinking I was going to have a 24-hour bug I couldn't breathe on Xmas Day - so went to A&E - came out 22 days later - Pneumonia, Pleurisy and chest infection - on oxygen, drips etc and had lung drain procedure. Been back to outpatients couple of times including Bronchoscopy. I am feeling better now and have been able to drive short distances for last three weels - it takes time to get better.

Please take good care - best wishes and look forward to seeing you back here when you can sit a puter. Jx
