lol Ann, it makes me weep like a babe every time I read it....the little dog has stayed at the railway station waiting from the day his 'master' enlists till the day he comes back at the end of the war....so touching, would have made a good film lol....boxes of kleenex for sale instead of popcorn!

xx

crumbs Rose, if it's sad I shan't read it - don't do sad - no sad films, no sad books, just can't cope with sad!!!

just to add I have read all of the 'Anne' books...which I very much enjoyed....including 'Rilla of Ingleside' (Anne's daughter)....it is set during the First World War and as such has an added interest as it touches on issues of great sacrice and courage....and if any one has read it, I wonder if you can get past the point where Dog Monday welcomes Jem home without sobbing? because I have never managed it!

Kim, I respect your view ....... with the exception of deleating please just read down this thread if not others.

I agree life would be very dull if we were all the same and its nice to see another point of view some times.

Someone on here once said to me - you cant delate what you have said in real life you have to live and deal with it.

It was very good advice.

Wishing you well
Its v rare I have lost my rag.

Same applies to me Maddy, but I find her at times refreshingly honest if somewhat misguided to some peoples way of thinking , in her responses . She doesn,t say what we all expect I admit , but she never runs and hides ..never deletes , has the courage of her convictions .
There,s a lot who put up a controversial thread then delete when the going gets tough ...
