just to add I have read all of the 'Anne' books...which I very much enjoyed....including 'Rilla of Ingleside' (Anne's daughter)....it is set during the First World War and as such has an added interest as it touches on issues of great sacrice and courage....and if any one has read it, I wonder if you can get past the point where Dog Monday welcomes Jem home without sobbing? because I have never managed it! |

lol Ann, it makes me weep like a babe every time I read it....the little dog has stayed at the railway station waiting from the day his 'master' enlists till the day he comes back at the end of the war....so touching, would have made a good film lol....boxes of kleenex for sale instead of popcorn! |
