Chewing nuts were bits of toffee covered in chocolate about the same size as chocolate covered peanuts.

Forgotton about sweet peanuts loved them as well.

Oops think I might have to go and visit one of those websites. lol

Hummingbird I think that's what I know as cinder toffee (made some last november)

what about chewing nuts - used to be a little sweet shop in North Shields that my gran would take me to - only place in area you could get them
