Not one of mine.. but there is a cat stuck up one of the trees next to my house... I can't get to the tree easily because of undergrowth etc...

Now, I'm normally of the *you've got yerself up there, so you can get yerself down* school of thought.. but I think it might have been there most of the day, and it is going to be cold tonight... but access would be difficult for retrieving the poor little mite.

Any suggestions? Should I leave it, or should I call in the fire brigade or similar to help out??

Love

One of my cats used to be able to get up trees but not down.
He passed on a few years ago now at the healthy age of 18.

I found if I got close enough up the tree by standing on a chair or a ladder he would jump on to me and as long as I didnt fall we would both be ok.

I did have a few falls over the years lol.

You wicked wicked lot.... I am wmsl... and that poor cat is stuck, lol!!

Hmm... actually, many of my neighbours are firemen.. hubby isn't home from work yet, I'd make him decide, lol.

I keep calling the cat, and rattling tins of food.. the problem is that we wouldn't be able to get through the undergrowth in the dark.... when the chopped down the horse chestnut last summer, they left half the tree laying there... the cat looks to be about 30 to 40 feet up..... and at least the same distance away. I'd also need to take my fence panels down.. there is no proper access. Which I really don't mind.. but it seems a bit drastic to call the fire brigade out.... no matter how scrummy they are, lol!!

I just mentioned it to Hagar, now he's hidden the petrol and the matches and is quivering in the corner.

Lol.... well, some of them just ain't so hunky out of uniform, lol... besides, I was surrounded all my adult life by fit men in uniform... sort of wears off after a while, lol.... I'd have had a permanent drool stain on my face!!

Hubby is home, and has now taken charge!!
He has informed me that the three in our close have now all retired!! I never knew that!!

before you call the fire brigade Daff, get yourself tarted up girl - they're usually fit healthy looking guys. Get the kettle on and do some sandwiches and then play the femme fatale!!!!

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 4 Mar 2008 20:35
