Anne, why not look for one of those househunting programmes and get Phil and Kirsty to find you a place? Then we could all watch and see which houses were nice, and help you choose lol

Don't forget to delete the cat passports from your to do list!

Why are you a loyal customer - do you move often ?

Also - just being nosy following latest adventure - I take it Mr Man from work is well out of the picture?

LATEST UPDATE

Had the Estate Agent around earlier this eve.

She was very impressed with the house even before my planned improvements - all of which she totally agreed with regards to obtaining a good price and quick sale.

She said the house had a lovely feel about it :O)

I had a pic taken last summer of the garden set on PC as wallpaper so she could see it in its glory - again very impressed.

She was very helpful and was certain it will achieve a top end figure - and I even get a discount on their fees for being a loyal customer lol

Well Julie - it will certainly go to somewhere in the big plan lol

Broke the news to my boss today - needed to let him know as I may need the companies help to try for a transfer to our sister company in Ireland. Also so he can prepare himself for finding a replacement for me - won't be easy cos even if I say so myself, I have that office running like clockwork unlike most of the other branches.

He was surprised and pleased for me - said no way would he stand in my way and that I would receive glowing references from him :O))

Told him i would be really sorry to leave the job cos i love it and i do it well - if i could pick it up and take it with me i would lol

Good :-)

That money can now go into your savings a/c to help cover expenses you'll incur when you first move.

Had some good news on one front .............

The cats do not need PET passports as NI is part of the UK - that means I am saved the expense of all the rabies jabs & blood tests - HURRAH !!

Hi Sue

I will probably drive to Scotland for the shorter crossing - not looking forward to that bit tho, especially if the cats have to travel with me - it's gonna be a nightmare lol x

Sue

Sue Report 2 Mar 2008 21:41

Which way will you be going on the ferry Anita?
Daughter & son-in-law (who comes from Ballymena) drive to Scotland or Lancashire (can't remember the name of the port!) because the ferry trip is shorter that way. When my grandaughter was younger they used to go from North Wales to Dublin and drive up to Ballymena, but too many rough crossings made them opt for the shorter ferry crossing and the longer drive :o(

Good luck with all your preparations and the move.

Sue

PMSL Julie ........... you always add a touch of je ne sais quoi to any thread lolol

Stray - no - as long as they conform to the requirements of a pet passport (as detailed earlier) they don't have to be quaranteened.

And I will be driving and then getting a ferry cos the car is going with me :O))

Stray they will have passports but we're not too sure whether they will be allowed to look happy on them. As Anne drives she may just save them the trauma of flying and get the ferry. Errrr......there is a ferry isn't there??? *confused look*

Oh I love maple units, mum and dad's new kitchen in the bungalow is gonna be maple.

I've had to fight brothers to get mum and dad to spend money on the house in order to sell it. They don't understand that it's not about adding value it's about making it so that someone will actually buy it.

I love all those programmes. My fave is 'selling houses' he's very good.

Summer - that's right .....

I have been watching the House Doctor and similar progs for years so i know all the tricks lol

The bathroom will be all white - tiles as well - then the accessories and towels can add the colour.

The kitchen units will be a light maple - again white tiles and I might just add a few coloured ones here and there to break it up.

At this rate it will look so good I won't want to leave it lolol

A shoddy kitchen and bathroom are the two things most likely to put people off I think. I don't think you can spend bad money on them as long as you do them neutrally (ie white bathroom suite)
