Member Since: May 2003 Posts: 1,292 Send Message	Hi Teresa, in fairness I don't think GR have much control over the ads, they sell the space to a third party. Most of the blame lies with Flash, but saying that GR could ban the flash adverts. Interestingly since this all started and I put Firefox on as my default browser, my AVG scans have come back clear of any spyware, and my browsing habits are the same as when on IE. 	It isn't necessarily GR's fault. Advertisements can be hijacked or changed once accepted. TW can you email your screenshot to me please?

If you get a little grey box telling you yoru PC needs scanning, click the little x in the top right corner DO NOT ALLOW IT TO DOWNLOAD. I've captured a screen shot and will be sending it to GR If you see it, go to contact us at the bottom of the page, then feedback, and tell GR about it. Why they allowed this advert back again is beyond me!

Maybe they've seen me ranting about being in customer service meself and thought they better get the head involved pmsl yeah right lol

	Well at least you got a reply Teresa - they havent replied to mine - three or four days ago I asked for a refund as most viruses were free and I wanted a refund as I didnt see why I had to pay for GR's. Good news they got rid of the advert .........................at last.

Dear Teresa, Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you by this malicious advert. We identifed and removed the advert from our website just after 9am this morning and we are doing all that we can to prevent an advert of this type being displayed on our website ever again. We do appreciate your support for Genes Reunited and your understanding in this particular matter. Just thought those of you who had been affected by this one would like to know...

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 23,508 Send Message	Joan I'm certain it's enough, just ran a virus scan and a malware scan right after I caught it and it was fine. Clicking on the x seems to stop it before it downloads onto your system.
