I put this on Roxanne's thread, but decided to put it on here too in case nobody saw it. The site is http://www.whalesrevenge.com/. Could we all PLEASE sign it, we have to do something to stop this carnage. They are trying for 1,000,000 signatures and so far have 924,575. I reckon if as many GR members as possible sign it we will get a lot closer to the million mark.

Thanks a lot Ann, I think this senseless killing has been going on far too long and it's about time we tried to put a stop to it. The Aussie Government is doing their bit, I hope that the rest of the world will support us. I was horrified by the pictures I saw on the TV last night. (Don't know if you get it over there, probably not), but they are making the whales suffer which I think is absolutely intolerable.

if you mean the one of the mother whale with her calf clinging to her being dragged lifeless on to a whaling ship - yes we saw it and we sickened to the very heart by it

Whales are such beautiful creatures the cruel slaughter of them needs to stop.

Man seems to thing we own the earth and through our greed and selfish ways are killing off so many beautiful creatures of all species without thinking of its consequences.

Ann those pics were taken by the Australian Customs vessel which has been monitoring the Japanese in the Southern Ocean. It is a sickening sight I hope that something is done to stop the slaughter.
