welcome to the world baby Jake, congratulations Twinkly, and also new mum and dad - bet they won't forget Jake's birth in a hurry - what a nightmare. But now they have a lovely little baby, and that is all in the past.

Baby Jake Michael came into the world at just after 10pm last might weighing 7lb 6oz ...had a phone pic of him already and hes gorgous lol.

Good news!!!!!

Baby Jake has arrived within the last hour...don't know any details yet but had a pic of him on my phone....hes gorgous bless :)))))))))

It seems to be problems in all maternity units by the looks of it. My cousin had her 2nd baby last month and they gave her a drip because her blood pressure was low... then forgot and left in on high for so long it gave her high blood pressure and caused her to go all funny and pass out... still sent her home same day though and only the midwife is keeping an eye on her still high blood pressure. The midwife was not impressed.

I hope she is ok. Shame she can't get into labour spontaneously when her baby decides he is cooked as induction can be so much more painful. Nature's way was easier for me!

Braxton Hicks contractions can give a really accurate imitation of labour - I had about five "scares" before I actually went into labour. I really hate hospitals though so I never even phoned the unit until I had been in true labour for about 11 hours!!

BHs were much worse with second baby too.

I hope she is ok and that she has a very easy time - induced or not!

Update number two lol
after posting yesterday I heard from my brother this morning who said the bed had been given to someone else and Amy hasn't been induced yet!!!!...Her mother is now up from Cornwall and is at the hospital giving them hell...and believe me they do not want to get on the wrong side of her!!!. Off to work now so will sign in later tonight if i have any more news xx

It's a boy sunshine...they were convinced they were having another girl so didn't even think of a boys name lol...but since have decided on Jake Michael...or as 2 year old Ellie calls him "baby Dake" lol

Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?Have they got any names planned or will it be a wait and see?

When i was about to deliver my second child the midwives were so busy i had to send my birth partner out into the other delivery rooms to find one! She was only just there in time too.!
