Florence Coldham married Stanley Thomas Pocock Q3 1922 which is the chap I am working on.

I cannot find a family that fit in with the first date.

The image for the 1900 birth appears to have a twin for her Robert Henry

Are the odds that she got her DOB wrong on the 1939?

There is a Florence S Coldham who marries in 1921 to Charles Dehew

and

Florence Coldham who marries Stanley T Pocock in 1922

I Stanley's probate record she is also just Florence (the other executor has a full name)

She is also just Florence on the 1939 register

Family sent through a short birth cert for Florence Dale born. Jan 1901 Wardleworth. The short form is dated 23 July 1901 but states birth as 6th Jan 1901.

That birth date correct for Florence Coldham who married Stanley Thomas Pocock.

I have had sight of a birth cert for one of their children and again she states formerly Coldham.

So.......... someone in this family remembers visiting a couple of ladies who she thought were Florence's siblings, one called Emma and the visits were in Wiltshire.

The family are adamant that Florence Dale and Florence Coldham are one and the same. I couldn't find a birth for Florence Coldham 6 Jun 1901 either. See above. This birth cert came to light after a death and was a surprise evidently.

My questions are therefore: does anyone have any bright ideas as to where we go from here? I realise that babies could be handed over to families outside of the immediate one if circumstances were dire. (My own Mother was married under her adopted Father's name but she was never legally adopted).

Sorry I meant June.....you are quite right.

One spanner in the works re the later baptism is on the GRO the birth for Florence her MMN is Davies. As is Emma's Mother in 1904..Conway also Arthur Henry in 1899 Cardiff.

In case something was going to be simple, I have had a quick search for a marriage Arthur Henry Dale to an Esther Davies and cannot locate one. So forget simple!

So I'm stuck on a marriage for those two...
