Hello Kayleigh, it's easy to get a birth certificate, first look up the record - this is from FreeBMD http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl |

Thanks :) I need to find out where her birth certificate is, is there any way to get a copy? I am really baffled about the whole thing. Only started my family tree 3 days ago found out loads of relatives, but ingrid is the only one I haven't been able to add a mum an dad. |

If Ingrid was the one who married SCOTT in Birkenhead, she was not adopted |

As she marries in her birth name, presumably it was just an unofficial arrangement for her to be looked after? |

From what I can find on searches, Whitledge Hurst seems to be a place (small hamlet?) rather than a house name - but it's not clear. Could it have been a big house IN Whitledge Hurst? |

Was it Louise/Louisa's father who was a vicar or Ingrid's ? |

Googled Whitledge Hurst and found this baptism, don't think it helps much though. |
