I bought a sort of replica old fashioned record player with cd player about 7 years ago for my vinyl records. I'm never the first to get new technology :-D :-D :-D

We still have a few vinyl records. A few years ago we bought a turntable with a view to connecting it to the computer and recording them. Guess what....we never did and have now decided to ditch both the records and turntable :-( :-(

Not that the collection is worth much. Being the last of the big spenders I never paid full price for LP's but used to buy the 50 pence ones :-D :-D

That's a shame. There's something special about vinyl records, scratches and all! :-)

Have you been trying out the Ancestry records?

Yes. The actual records are almost the same as FMP but the Public trees are a trove of information.

I've already found at least one relative which I know of plus some trees containing my 4x gt gf and his wife. Those trees are on her side of the family.

I will still be able to access Ancestry via my local Family History Society if I let my own free trial lapse. It may be more economical to do that than pay for a full subscription
