Hello all

Well, as it turned out we didn't go to Perth yesterday. Instead spent the afternoon worrying about my daughter as she decided to drive to the concert venue. She hates Perth with a vengeance, and doesn't feel confident driving in the city traffic.

Daughter thought that the concert started at 5.00pm and would finish at about 9.00pm. Then found that the venue opened at 5 and the concert started at 6.30 and was scheduled to finish at about 11.00pm!

We got a text message from her very early this morning to say that she had arrived safely back home

Hi Allan :-)

Gosh- she was brave! I bet you were relieved when she arrived home safely! Did her step-daughter enjoy the concert?

Hi, Jemima

We didn't ask. Daughter is returning to Perth today, with her partner, to go to another concert. She will be absolutely knackered! :-| But at least this time we won't be worried as her partner is a big bloke :-D. Yesterday all I could think of was a young woman (daughter is 33) in Perth with two young girls, about 15/16) after dark, and we weren't sure how far from the venue she had parked.

Sometimes my imagination works for good, eg my stories, but sometimes it works in a different direction :-(

I'm the same. When it comes to people I love, I always expect the worse. Had quite a lot of bad stuff happen in my formative years and it has made me far too protective, I'm afraid! :-(

Being protective is no bad thing, Jemima :-)
