Rather tired today- Had Granddaughter 1 (13) staying weekend. Grandson 1 (14) lives with me. There is only 10 months between them, and are getting harder work as they get older! :-D

How are you this evening?

Watermelon with Kirsch (my brother's recipe!)

Jemima, as tiring as it is, I'm sure that you enjoy it :-D

I'm well, but a bit tired. I've been up since three this morning. (I did have a short Nana nap this afternoon :-D)

Allan

Allan Report 2 Dec 2013 11:59

I did, and, strangely, as I was walking past an area of bush, one of our cats made himself known and walked home with me. It was about 600 metres from our house! :-)

Our cat (Classic Tabby) used to come for a walk with us and the dog! We had a huge dog. Supposedly 1/2 Golden Retriever and 1/2 Border Collie. He was the colour of the Border Collie, the coat of a Golden Retriever and grew to the size of a Mountain Dog! The daftest lovable dog!
The cat would sit at OH's feet while the dog ran about in the field! :-D

Animals are good company :-) Whilst I don't hate dogs, I prefer cats, but at the moment in our house (well garden) we have two guinea pigs, umpteen lizards, a budgie and two cats :-S

I've had both cats and dogs and love both. Dogs are more work but give so much back. Cats are more independent, but make their presence known!
I have had budgies too, and hamsters (as a child)
