Thanks Jemima. We've been married for 43 years. My son was 37 on Tuesday. my daughter had her 34th birthday at the beginning of August

I suppose that people were taking bets on whether the marriage would last. OH was 18 and I was 22. All our friends who got married at the same time eventually divorced, as did our son and daughter from their respective spouses. Fortunately there were no children involved. Of course that means we are not grandparents and there is very little prospect of us gaining that status :-( We do have several great nieces and nephews

I'm sorry Allan. I'm very lucky- we have 5 Grandchildren including a new baby boy. Sadly we had a Still born Granddaughter 7 years ago. I am raising our eldest - 14 year old Grandson

Married 41 years with 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
I count us as very lucky even though the family is spread worldwide so seldom all together in one place..
