I generally enjoyed school dinners, never had packed lunch,( tho my children always did )
In juniors the cooks were my aunties...well one was mum's cousin and the other was her very close friend..... in a small village one has lot's of aunties ;-)

They weren't too bad at Secondary school, I did used to eat the Tapioca ,wouldn't now tho, yes agree White chocolate Yuk !

Anchovies....another yuk ;-)

Wish I could have taken packed lunches! Junior school dinners were dreadful and Secondary ones not much better!

Tinned mackerel fillets are scrummy ,I often have them for lunch.
OMG fish finger sandwich :-|
