I'm not fussed on original porridge oats, but there is an instant one which is not as gooey.
I'll get slated by the Scots now ;-) Hey guys we are all Celts ! :-D

Speak for yourself Sandie - Looking at my OH's tree - loads of Normans & the occasional Viking & Turk

I have to admit he has loads of Celts too

I haven’t in mine – Yet – they didn’t travel very far either the same county or one either side - only back to the 1400’s with mine - mine all seem to be non gentry so far - will live in hope there were a couple of Lords & i can get back further

Lol Tabitha, I meant the Scots and Welsh, I phrased it wrongly perhaps....I said it because of my comment about porridge oats.

Sandie, when i bake chicken breasts in foil, I sometimes coat them in porridge oats seasoned with a few spices although I now mainly use my home-made dukah :-)

Dukah...I had to google ;-)
Don't know if my lot would like their chicken tossed in porridge oats ,,dukah sounds like something they'd try tho :-D

Sandie, dukah is easy to make and there are may recipes on the net. It is also nice as a snack served wit crusty sourdough bread and extra virgin olive oil. Dunk chunks of bread in the oil, then the dukah, and eat :-D
