Hi, Daphne,

I'm fine, thanks. Been doing bits and pieces today - but made a breakthrough with a brick wall on my tree! Found out that my GG grandma was married 3 times, not twice like we had thought!

Hi, ladies,

I haven't got a clue on this one, I'm afraid.

Daphne

Daphne Report 5 May 2009 14:43

the Series of the Australian Florins Commenced in 1910 at the Sydney Mint t in 1965

Could there be a letter missing do you think ?
The 1965 seems wrong unless we are missing something.

Daphne

Daphne Report 5 May 2009 14:39

Could be Coin or Coins,it's getting the end part to make sense that's a problem.

Daphne

Daphne Report 5 May 2009 14:37

I haven't found any more on the florins either.
Sorry to hear your daughter is feeling sick again. It's so quiet on here lately the whole site I mean, apart from the usual squabbling between the usual culprits.

*$parkling $andie* Report 5 May 2009 14:26

yeap
I'm still about, been looking at site about the Australian florin nothing new springs to mind.
Dau is off work today, giddiness and sickness again, son isn't in Uni either so it's been a bit like a cafe here.
I hate it cos I normally have something light for lunch, and with the bank holiday, it's been 4 days on the trot I've had to cater at lunch time !
Lol ..makes me sound like a bad mother, but I'm not used to it !!..lol
I worked full time for 32 yrs, and always had their lunches arranged,(school meals , Mil house or packed lunch) and they are now old enough to do their own in the week, I don't mind the weekends, and of course have to pamper anyone who's not feeling well.

Hi Daphne,
How's you today ?
It's quite cold here, might have to put the heating on.

Yes ,I read that they stopped minting them in 1963, but the wording fitted and thought Jack may have typed the wrong date..lol...
As if :))..lol

Daphne

Daphne Report 5 May 2009 11:36

Could be Series

Daphne

Daphne Report 5 May 2009 11:30

Hi Anyone who is about yet,
Sandie your answer sounded good but minting stopped in 1963 in preparation for the introduction of decimal currency in 1966.
I thought the S could be Silver but it doesn't sound right in context.

Hey, beware my Sicilian contacts.lol ....talking about wine consumption :)
Yes there is always wine on the table at meal times, and with my in laws children ( aged 11 or over?) were allowed a small glass with their evening meal.

I'd better say goodnight to you ladies, as everyone is home today and looking for food asap.
Take it easy Jackie, but enjoy your beauty treatments:)
Daff, hope your assignment is on course and wish you every success.

Sweet dreams both ( I'll probably miss you signing off)
