He doesn't have a particularly uncommon name; he could be living anywhere; if alive and in UK he may have opted out of the public Electoral Roll, and won't be traceable by us from what's available online.

Are you quite sure he's the man born in 1961 in Chorley, or is that just a guess?

I am very new to all this and initially started it to find information on my biological dad. I apologise I don't know the ins and outs of who I can and can't add to a tree.
I got told he had a sister called Karen as that's apparently who I'm named after but that could be false information.
Yes, there is still an Alan Unsworth living in Chorley still but it isn't the same one as I went straight to the source. The Alan I'm looking for (or any family of his, apparently he has another daughter) seems a lot harder to get info about.
Maybe not everyone wants to be found ??

Having looked at all the Alan and Kar* Unsworths born in the whole of Lancashire 1950-70 -
NONE of the Alans has a full sister Kar*.

I suppose she might be a half or step sister, but that's impossible to tell from online birth records.

What is your connection to this - presumably living - man?
The one born in 1961 in Chorley does not have a sister Karen(or variant thereof)

It is highly unlikely that any of the helpers on this site will have any personal knowledge of him.

I can see that his mother's maiden name was Wilding.
There is no birth of a Karon/Karen Unsworth with mother's name Wilding.

If his parents married in Chorley in 1940, they were Walter and Alice.
That seems a long time before a 1961 birth - but not impossible.

There were 5 Unsworth/Wilding children born in Chorley between 1940 and 1970:
Walter, Marion, Christine A, Brian, and Alan.
There were none after Alan.
