I'd love to go... not sure about finances though.. older Grand-daughter's birthday in May, and babby's is in June... both involve me being away from home and travelling, will see what can be arranged around it when you have decided on a date,

Love

LOL, it's the thought that counts ;-)

trying to decide whether to go to parent's new bungalow tomorrow under the disguise of stripping wallpaper and risk stirring things with sis-in-law. Completely irrelevant to this thread but just thought I'd get it off my chest lol.

You are welcome, can't find Anne's old thread about the meets.
Nudged one on Chat too, in error.

I would love to try and come along but there are several meets already set up so maybe later on would be better and give us time to save up!

Have a look at the Meet thread and see what's happening already.
I think this board needs a social secretary but sorry, not volunteering as not always around at the right times.

Stupidist idea the council have had yet, and they've had a few. I know for a fact that they had a few objections... I was instrumental in at least 8 letters being sent (one of which was my own lol) And they totally ignored it. The environmental impact is going to be crazy. Might start recommending people come down abbey road lol.

PS. was pm reply a case of too much info? lol

I heard that the food has improved but the service is still questionable. It does however have ample parking and is on the main road in. Do you think they'll have finished the new one way system by then? *frets*

Oh no... you're all in trouble now lol.

Dunno if roa island may be a bit out of the way for any out of towners with no local experience.

I know the pub over there closed that my friend in school's dad ran. He moved to Ulverston. I remember eating chips and playing pool before going over to peel...oh them were the days.
