Could someone help me......l have 2 viruses on my Kodak photo site and can't get to any of the photo's.

The other day l found the box that the camera came in(4yrs ago!!) and found the original battery, which l had never used - l have put this one in!! do you think that could have done the damage??
l bought 2 new sets the other day aswell, as the other were useless.

I wouldn't think that using old batteries would cause a computer virus, they are passed on via infected sites and infected emails, etc.

If I were you, I'd email the Kodak site and explain your problem to them, then run your anti-virus software.

Thanks Mandy - l have put them both in the vault - the first one appeared as l was closing the puter down last night, the 2nd as l opened it up this morning - grrrr - all my grandchilds pics are on there:o((((( sons wedding etc etc:o(((

Awww sh--e. me thinks it best l get the puter man in - he usually see'e me once a yr but he's expensive as he comes from the forest, but l know l can trust him (not that l don't trust anyone on here) and l willget so confused.

l have norton via BT

and avg - the avg does 2 scans everyday and l do another on with norton everynow and then

Hi there Rosalind and everyone - l will use this thread for now!!

l am doing a Norton Anti virus scan, a complete one plus cookies, which l did a few days ago - it usually finds some cookies with low risk which l always delete.
have also just found Zone alrm and the firewal was onsharing mode, have altered that now!!
anything else l should be doing -???

Have you downloaded any programmes recently that could have infected your PC?

but l have probs with email - the other day l had one from myself, which l deleted, also the prob l had the other with equifax or simular and Errol helped solve that, but in doing so l had to lower my anti thingy temporarily, as Errol said 'will need to tweak the it abit, to sort it' or simular.

l did download the scrabulous thingy the other day, but its gone now - ooo er - other than that l don't do gambling etc . l'm always looking on sites and googling.
