thought id pop in and say hello well ive managed to go to town today and felt ok while i was out and about but now im home have suddenly gone down feeling breathless and dry mouth and bit shakey so im trying to keep busy washing on, pot of chicken balti cooking, lovley sunny day here hope you all having nice day elaine

great stuff innit Linda - I'd be a wreck without it, just wish they'd made them a different shape, hate swallowing them. Just concentrate on that new little un coming your way - that should go a long way to softening all your other thoughts

Still not slept well,but rested all weekend. I should be really happy my son has told me on saturday I am going to be a gran again, this will be my 5th grandchild.
my daughter came today with news of my Aunt that she died this morning. It is also the 26th anniversary of my mothers death in 2 days time.
Its hard to try and keep happy in front of family when underneath I am crying..
I am sorry to sound so despondant.

I made a great start to the day!
Phoned someone who needed all my info before we could speak.... had to go get it from the bedroom, trying very hard to be quick (not easy for me) got dizzy and stumbled in the hall.

I wrote this ditty on behalf of my daughter roughly twenty five years ago...hope you enjoy.....

Dears Sirs,

How to stock my freezer I was thinking,
there I stood, my enforced diet shrinking
The thought of food utmost in mind,
how to compromise, and still be kind

So many varieties were mine to select
but to choose a suitable meal I had to elect
To be fair to my spouse and myself in need
a selection of your foods, much enjoyed indeed

I opted for peas, sprouts and veg
but something was lacking to give my meal that edge.
Sweet and sour, too fattening I felt
instead of tightening, I would loosen my belt

Cod in batter, calories galore
soon I would not even pass through the door
So after deliberation I opted for beef pies,
succulent, juicy,acceptable 'Birds Eyes'

Just enough calories, together with veg
to satisfy my needs, still dieting I could pledge.
So I bought and selected my meal for that night
My taste buds were frantic, my thoughts a delight
The table was set, the lights turned low
Our meal I served and gave the word go.

My spouse's enjoyment was pure ecstacy to see
he smiled his pleasure across to me
He had accepted my need for a balanced diet
and was encouraging me to stick by it

I smiled back to him and with fork in hand
proceeded to indulge in the meal I had planned
The peas were sweet, the sprouts sublime
Now for the pie, the ultimate I would find

With fork I crunched into the pastry brown
to taste the beef, in the flavour to drown
But to my disbelief and to my horror
My beef pie was unbelievably HOLLOW

With a heavy heart, and close to tears
I search in vain and confirmed my fears
My one meal of the day, so carefully selected
not one piece of beef could be detected

Oh where, oh where did you go wrong
a slight of hand, a casing placed wrong
Pastry is fine served up with jam
but a Beef Pie without filling, is like woman without man....



This poem I sent to the quality control department of Birds eye and awaited a reply.

Their reply.......Four coupons to purchase their ware and a compliments slip....

Hi Gail, sorry I missed you, not had a good weekend with o.h. so watched some tv to distract me as couldn't concentrate on here. If I owe some of your replies to pms etc please accept my apologies, I think this next week might be a bit difficult, need to sort o.h. out - he has been secret drinking all weekend and wasn't nice to be around.
Because I had nipped out he hadn't bothered to eat which made him worse so he was unwell when I got home and I gave him no sympathy at all, made him clear it up himself too. Then he went to bed and slept and is still sleeping, he has to get up at 5 for work at 6am.

Kathy, hope you make the park hon, will keep looking out for your posts and talk to you as soon as I can, with him being around this week in the evenings, isn't easy unless he goes out which is rare.
Hope everyone has a good week, and the weather stays bright to help us a bit more.

Dave I did that last week but they were very quiet and thats not normal!

Hope you get a letter tomorrow one way or the other at least then you can move on. Good luck anyway. Have you seen any other jobs advertised that you might be interested in?
