It works - I tried it in the run up to Christmas not only did I get a good nights sleep but so did OH! And thats what counts - he had resorted to earplugs and was threatening to move into the spare room.

It's a horrible nasty dry tickly hacking cough, and its all I've got left of this flu now, though it is clearing up. OH still has the cough, and coughs so hard he runs out of breath!

I've just told him to get some Vick to put on his feet, and he just rolled his eyes at me LOL

Er lol, no its not a wind up. In the last 2 days so many people have told me about it......

Well I am going to give it a whirl tonight.....infact in your told me to stand on my head in a corner to stop me coughing I would.....lo

Not a wind up Hayley......but putting socks on is essential, especially on laminate flooring.....

Its getting worse......do you know what BC said the other night on the phone ....you sound like my dad just before he died......** shakes head **

I've used the Vicks on feet trick Hayley
it won't cure a cough but you should get at least some relief for awhile and a good nights sleep hopefully

Oh tried it and said it didnt work......I said it must do...cos I didnt get a cough all winter :-)))))

Mind you....nothing works for him....he couldnt get hypnotised to stop smoking...kept saying it hadnt worked.

Put it this way. I thought it was a joke too at first.

But my poor hubs has been left with a hacking cough ever since last weeks flu. So bad that he was having breathing problems similar to asthma.

For the sake of the price of a pot of Vicks we tried it out on Sunday night.

NOT ONE COUGH SINCE !!!

I promise.

Mind you - he don't arf stink in bed at night. hee hee

Believe me it works. I've been using it for years. My mum used to rub it on our chests and feet.

The vapours travel up through your body and stop you coughing. Don't know why.

I've used it on some of my elderly clients and it works on them.

My 3yr old granddaughter had a terrible cough and I rubbed it on the soles of her feet and put socks on her and she never coughed once during the night.

Might not work for everyone but for the majority it does.

i am a great believer in rubbing vics on feet and putting sox on ...

It did help when I had a cough, not sure why but maybe it is because of the ehat it generates or something.

Thats massaging the feet for all sorts of ailments.

Yes apparently it does work. Rub it all over your feet, and put a pair of sock on and go to bed.

I didn't use it because I didn't have any vicks lol

I said it was about reflex whats it.....they called me mad.....and thoht I was joking at work...lol

well iv nvr tryed it but people say it does
