Hmm that doesn't look like a p to me when compared to the one in "popini" Doesn't look like the other S's either. *ponders*

The more I look the more I dont think its an S or by the same hand. Look at the S in Sussex and Schoolboy - its not the same.

I have a Grenville M Biss on 1891 but not 1901... is it transcribed differently?

First! He has a funny name he is called Grenville Mansell Biss!

The whole family have even stranger names such as harry le brujere biss and clarence vandalloor biss!!

If its any help the head of the household is Caroline Biss
