Muffy, nothing we will say will make you worry less, that is what Mums (And Nanas) do. But a ratio of 4 children to an adult is good and I have seen them out in gloucester all holding hands. I am sure she will have a good time. But the phone is a good idea because if it is switched on (or not I believe0 it can be tracked. Best check if she is allowed to carry it though.

During the day she is away come on here and we will all worry with you.

Not read all of your thread..but it get's worse.

Being Mum, never leaves you, then you got the Granny worries...then G,Granny worries etc.

Times change though, and that is, a worry.

Jeeze there's no let up is there? Now I know how my parents felt when I was late in.

I would never have been late if I had realised what they were going through.

When they went to see the girls in their Christmas plays my dad got stage fright lol x

LOL Muffy am sure you still would have been late.....we have an alarm system in our place and when any of the doors or windows are opened there is a beep beep beep. When we first moved in this place the beeping drove me nuts until I figured that it would signal me when daughter came in. I usually didn't sleep when she was out on a date or with mates but the minute I heard the door go beep I would sod off into a deep sleep.

Hi Marion.

I remember before I had my girls my sister told my neice off and I thought she had been unfair to her.

I proper gave her a dressing down and did the bountiful auntie bit. Looking back I can understand why she got cross with her but I was appalled at the time !!!

Now........... she does it to me.!!! I only have to raise an eyebrow at her nieces and I get told off lol xx

Hiya Grannie.

I come from Middlesex originally and used to go on school trips to the National History. Victoria and Albert etc all the time. I'm not worried about London at all. Just the journey really and her being gone so long !!! Without Me !!xx

Deb ( Steel City)

Deb ( Steel City) Report 6 Jan 2008 22:08

We always had the rules with daughter, when she got to the age of going down to the shops etc...

always in a group of three or more....
stick together.....
curfew times......
secret pass word.....
no mucking about.......
good behaviour.
etc. etc. some we made up as we went along or things changed

Didn't help daughter that my five sisters all lived in same area so one or other would always happen to run into her and report back or scold her if she wasn't behaving.....lol. She says that was always the worst part as she was always afraid one of her aunties would see her........pmsl

My son was in Newquay last summer with a crowd of mates, doing a surfing course and enjoying himself. I kept phoning him to ask about the weather or how to do something on the computer, just to reassure myself he was ok and still around lol
In the end, he said Mum I am 25 and ok, will you stop phoning lol
Bless him, he knows I worry....
